Thank You FFA!

The Crockett County High School Chapter of Future Farmers of America
donated $500 to the CCHS Library to purchase new agricultural books. The
gift was a portion of a donation FFA received from the Monsanto
Corporation. With this money, the library was able to update its
collection with new titles on conservation, farming, farm equipment, and
animal care. Librarian Mindy Nichols said, “I was so excited when Mrs.
Kelly [Piatt] came to me about the donation. She, Brett, and the members
of FFA have a true commitment to literacy and to serving the students in
our school. I am so grateful to them and their organization for their
generosity and service.” The Crockett County FFA annually participates in
multiple P.L.O.W. (Pushing Literacy Onward) projects. They also
volunteered their time preparing for and working the library’s book sale
last year, which also raised money to purchase new books for CCHS
