Speed Dating Success!

Today Mr. Brady’s Contemporary Issues class completed their two-day research activity on Separation of Church and State. After developing their areas of inquiry yesterday and researching to find scholarly articles to answer those questions, the class shared their research with each other via a “speed dating” interview activity. Students were able to interview each other about their topics and findings and then, as a culminating activity, create Wordles of the key ideas discussed. Great job class! It was a pleasure to work with you all! Come by to see their Wordles on display!

Look Whom I Met at TASL Conference!

In addition to all of the great info I received at the Tennessee
Association of Librarians'(TASL) Conference, I also met quite a few famous
authors: Margaret Peterson Haddix (author of The Shadow Children series;
pictured above), Brandon Mull (author of the Fablehaven series), and Susan
Pfeffer (author of Life as We Knew It). What an amazing weekend!
