Students Complete 50 Book Challenge

Students Complete 50 Book Challenge

Brianna Paige Richardson

The CCHS Library hosted its first annual “50 Book Challenge” this year. Students were challenged to read 50 books of 150 pages, complete a reading log, and a summary for each book. Two students completed the challenge. Chloe Hopper, 11th grade, won first place, reading 58 books. Brianna Paige Richardson, 10th grade, came in second completing 50 books. Both winners received $50 Books-a-Million gift cards for their achievement and will be featured in advertising the program in 2014-2015. Library Media Specialist, Mindy Nichols, congratulated the girls. “Reading 50 books in a year, especially the shorter school calendar year, is a major accomplishment. I am so proud of Chloe and Paige for finishing the challenge. We hope that more students will join their ranks in 2014-2015.”
